Le Petit Bateau
Le Petit Bateau is the smallest aluminium catamaran in the CoCo Yachts family. Le Petit Bateau is available in two versions: Le Petit Bateau Basic and Le Petit Bateau XL. Both yachts are designed and built to 94/25/EG-2003/44/EG Recreational craft regulations and wear the CE mark C.
The hulls, the deck, the sofas, the hatches, the doors and steering console are made of seawater resistant aluminium and are almost maintenance free. Each sofa has one or more sections containing lots of storage place. All hatches are fitted with blind hinges, so you can’t see or feel them from the outside, so they will never cause any discomfort whilst sitting. The hatches above the engine and batteries are equipped with a lock.
Unlike any other open boat, RIB or tender, when entering the catamaran, you do not have to step down as the deck of the Le Petit Bateau is equally leveled with the quay. The deck is around 50 to 60 cm above the water level, depending on the load, which makes it very easy to embark and disembark. Le Petit Bateau is very stable, while sailing but also during the (dis)embarking.
All banks are equipped with 8cm thick comfortable seat and back cushions with Dry Foam padding and waterproof UV resistant Sunbrella fabrics. The cushions of the two sofas can also be used to create a spacious sun bed in combination with the "polywood” boards. It's even possible to place a tent on the sun bed and to spend the night on board!
Le Petit Bateau is the first open boat with a separate lockable toilet area of no less than 1.10 x 0.55 x 1.65 m. The toilet is placed amidships in the port hull, and so easily accessible. The toilet space is equipped with LED lighting.
One outboard engine of 10 HP is sufficient to power Le Petit Bateau Basic, and 15 HP for the XL. The outboard engine is mounted in a flexible sub-frame and covered by a hinged cover, completed with noise insulation. Due to this, the noise and vibrations are low, equal to electric powered vessels.
Enjoy the Difference!
