CoCo Yachts – Plenty Ships awarded fast ferry contract for Xiamen

CoCo Yachts and Plenty Ships Zhuhai are very pleased to announce a new building contract with Xiamen Bay Marine Tourist Passenger Transport Co ltd for one (1) Coastal Cruiser 343.

Xiamen Bay marine will replace their current fast ferry with the newly built Coastal Cruiser 343 on their passenger service between Xiamen P.R. China and Kinmen Taiwan.

The hull design is based on the proven Coastal Cruiser 300, and further optimised to reduce sea sickness on the intended route.

The Coastal Cruiser 343 will have a nice detailed passenger saloon on main deck with 257 economy seats, big kiosk, crew cabins and lots of luggage space. On upper deck a spacious business class / VIP arrangement with a service counter and 2 toilets.  

The Coastal Cruiser 343 will be powered by two MTU main engines, each driving one MJP 750 water jet through a ZF gearbox.

This new high speed aluminium passenger ferry will be designed and built in accordance with China Classification Society rules and regulations for High Speed Craft, and will be built in at Plenty Ships Zhuhai and is expected to be delivered Q4 – 2018.
